Azerbaijan Green Party (GPA) has
been established on 16th of December 2006. At this
Constituency Conference were adopted essential documents of
GPA, including the Ustav and
the Program of GPA. (Please

There are very big difference between GPA and other political parties
in Azerbaijan on verias subjects, including understanding Nagorny
Garabach problem, ecological problems, energy security etc.
• GPA is agaist militarisation of Caspian basein;
• GPA is against to any sort of violation, including resolving Nagorny
Garabach problem by war. GPA supports peace way for resolving any
conflicts;
• GPA is against to expansion of NATO and is considering NATO as
dangerous military alliance for peace in the world, including in
South Caucausus;
• GPA is supporting military neutrality of South Causasus republics
and considering these republics as “one organism”;
• GPA is againt any expansion of activity transnational oil conpanies
• GPA is suggesting changing Azerbaijan Constitution to expand local
democracy and responcibility of municipalities; GPA supports all
reforms to create “good governance”.
• GPA suggest rehabilition proporsioanal election system for parliament
and municipality bodies;
• GPA suggests to pass essential authority and responcibilities
from oppointed local bodies to elected bodies, including to local
self-government;
• GPA suggests reducing extractive industry, including oil and gas
industry;
• GPA suggest providing transparency on extractive industry revenuse;
• GPA suggests creating some mechanisms to pass benefits to all
citizens of Azerbaijan;
• GPA suggests to government to invest non-oil sector;
• GPA suggests fromgovernment widely invest alternative energy sector;
• GPA suggests clear public control over activity of International
Financial Institutions;
• GPA supports gender equality in society and suggests to provide
good conditions for increasng political activity of women;
• GPA against corruption and demands to creating a sustainable mechanisms
for reduction of corruption;
• GPA suggests ecological wisdom and ecological expertize for all
economical projects;
• GPA agitates decreasing of consumpsion and economy of energy and
food;
• GPA agitates decreasing of waste and suggests to learn good experience
on waste management;
• GPA is against nuclear wipons and demands from nuclear owners
countries to liquidate all nuclear wepons reverves;
• GPA agitates widely friendship linkages with all countries, especially
with neibourhood countries;
• GPA supports creating good conditions to develop minority cultures
in Azerbaijan;
Last news about GPA’s activity
Azerbaijan and Georgia branches of RIA Novosty
organised TV Breach between Azerbaijan and Geogia specialists on
ecology to discuss transboarder river problems. As well as at this
TV Breach took part General secretary of Greens’
Party of Georgia George Kachechiladze and co-chairman of the
Greens’ Party of Azerbaijan Mayis Gulaliyev.
After TV Breach, Mayis Gulaliyev gave interviews to LIDER and “ITV”
(Public TV).
12th of March 2008. Members of Greens’ Party of
Azerbaijan organised round tabele for working group to discuss esntial
problems connected with State Program on Environment and current
situation related with waste management in Azerbaijan. This round
table was as preliminary for the Round Table wich will be held at
the end of April.

February 2008. Geogian and Azerbaijan Greens’ Parties disseminated
joint Statement on unilaterial independence of Kosovo.
16th of December 2007. One year ago had been established
Greens’ Party of Azerbaijan. Members of GPA celebrated this event.

of December 2007. GPA held a press conference on Political situation
in Caucasus region.

2007 December. Several members of GPA took part at the Regional
conference on regional problems in Tbilisi
2nd 2007 December.
Young Greens of Georgia and Young Greens of Azerbaijan signed Memorandum
for cooperation.
27th of November 2007. There
was presentation of the book “The Greate Satan and the Beginning
of the END” of Mayis Gulaliyev

November 2007. The GPA held press conference about results of monitoring
on ecological situation inSumgait city and sarrounding areas. There
was disseminated a Statement of GPA.

October 2007. The GPA held round table on Garabach conflict.
